Arizona is kind of a world all it’s own with the orange desert landscape. In some ways, it is almost surreal, a place that shouldn’t be possible. It is a barren landscape, that only truly rugged creatures can survive, and yet this strange beauty draws visitors from around the world. What is it about this stark and strange beauty that calls to us?
The Grand Canyon, the Painted Desert, are sites of mystery and legend that intrigues us as a people. The strange cactus and plants that somehow manage to store their own water to survive in one of the hottest and driest places on earth cause us wonder. It becomes something we must see to believe.
We are not the first to feel this way, as native cultures have made this environment home for millennia. Their relics and homes are there for our discovery, causing us to delve even deeper into our philosophical thoughts.
