The name California may be one of the most evocative destination names in the world, but it most definitely is for Americans. Everyone has an image of this bigger than life state, the home of movie stars, sun tanned beauties, and a better way of life. While these things may all be true, California is far more than that. It is a place that gives hope that dreams can come true.
California is a large state, and it contains a huge diversity of ecosystems, from the Pacific Coast, to some of the highest snow covered peaks in the US, to the lowest and hottest desert in North America, and the ancient and grand Redwood Sequoias, there are a multitude of natural wonders to explore. The state boasts 9 National Parks, more than any other.
California is also home to some of the US most amazing cities. Of course, there is Los Angeles, with it’s notable suburbs of Hollywood, Santa Monica and Malibu, among others. San Diego is noted for it;s stunning beaches and sea lions, and the Spanish Old Town. And of course San Francisco with it’s iconic bridge and Chinatown.
